Open-loop Hall Effect current sensors for DC link and phase current measurement in automotive xEV traction inverters, combining a LEM-designed magnetic core with a proprietary LEM ASIC for consistent accuracy across -40°C to +125°C. HC5FW and HC5FL variants mount flat on the gate driver board, measuring current through a busbar inserted into the round sensor slot. The round aperture accommodates both rectangular and round busbars; a sleeve beneath the sensor package extends through the PCB to maintain high-voltage isolation compliance at 2.5 kV. Full ratiometric voltage output on +5V DC supply.
Applications include xEV traction inverter DC link and phase current measurement, electrical power steering, starter generators, and converters.
