Closed-loop Fluxgate current transducers for Class accuracy R (Railway) current measurement at very high current levels. Covering 2000 to 4000A RMS, 14kV RMS/50Hz galvanic isolation, 0.1µs response time, and DC to 80 kHz bandwidth in a panel-mount package with very low temperature drift across a -40 to 85°C operating range. Bipolar and insulated current measurement capability up to 6 kA peak; analogue current output; low current consumption at 300 mA; reduced size relative to competing solutions at this current level. A test winding provides a self-test function for in-service verification.

Applied in railway fixed installations and onboard trains and locomotives — including propulsion converters, substations, and energy metering — as well as test and measurement environments where galvanic isolation and Class R accuracy must be maintained at multi-kiloamp current levels.
